The wind at Napeague is also often 5 to 10 knots better than it is other places on the South Fork.
The prevailing warm-weather wind is a SW thermal, and Napeague commonly pulls a thermal in off the ocean better than other bodies of water farther west.
No matter what the wind is doing though, there is always a beach to teach and ride from at Napeague.
At SkyWalk Kiteboarding, we strive to make learning to kiteboard simple and enjoyable, and we do all we can to accommodate our clients.
Often we can arrange to teach near you if you live on another body of water or on the ocean. If an instructor is available, we can go as far a field as Peconic,
Shinnecock, Noyak, Mecox, Shelter Island or the North Fork. If you would like to book a lesson, discuss having us come out to a spot near you, or would just like
to come down to the beach and check it all out, please don't hesitate to call or email. We are always more than happy to answer any questions you might have.
